It's just now starting to pick up some momentum. We've been handicapped by the need for our artists and programmers. It's necessary that they get Quest For Glory 4 and Swat 2.
I wanted to make a game since early on during my time at here Sierra. It took a few years, some good fortune, and some hard work. A part of that good fortune was being penned up with Mark Crowe for a whole lot of time during The Black Cauldron. Mark and I matched up well in what we thought the adventure game market needed and how to change the status quo and have fun and laughs at the same time. We must laugh!
The Black Cauldron, King's Quest 2, Police Quest 1, Police Quest 4, some cameo coding in Leisure Suit Larry 1, Multimedia Mixed-up Mother Goose, Gabriel Knight 2, The King's Quest Collection, The Space Quest Collection, Space Quest 1, Space Quest 2, Space Quest 3, Space Quest 4, Space Quest 6, and now Space Quest 7. The remake of Police Quest 1 and the remake of Space Quest 1. I can't remember anything else at the moment
I'm torn between SQ3 and SQ4. They both have some very strong points. I hope to make Space Quest my new all time favorite.
Well, I hung around a lot until they were tired of me standing around and not doing anything. A friend and still coworker Doug Oldfield got a job at On-Line systems as it was then called. He worked copying Apple games for shipment. Anyway, he introduced me to his boss in customer support. A month later when an opening popped up I was hired. That was back on March 1st of 1983.
Nascar 2! I've become a junkie. I still love the original Monkey Island also.
Why, we're working on it. Whadda ya' think of that? While you're awake, we'll be working. While you're asleep, we will be working. (Oh my God, what have I gotten myself into?!)
It's being built as we type. Space Quest will definitely have a multiplayer mode.
You're most welcome, Sterling!
