Windows 95/98 Setup Wizard

Welcome to the setup wizard built into Windows 95 / 98. We are assuming you have the "Internet Explorer" icon (above) on your desktop already or you have just finished down-loading the new version and have it installed. Either way you start by clicking:

After clicking on the START button go to Settings and click on Control Panel. In your Control Panel double click on the following icon:

Click onto the Connections tab and press on the Settings button for the connection wizard.

You should now be in the Internet Connection Wizard. From the options below, select setting up a new connection manually and then press the Next button.

Select the option for connect through a phone line and a modem and then press the Next button.

When inputting the information for the phone number, uncheck Dial using the area code and country code. Now type in 602-889-0499 if you are in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area or 702-932-1701 for the Las Vegas, NV and click Next.

Now type in your username (all lower case and with no spaces). If you would like for Windows to save your password, type in your password now (passwords are case sensitive). Click Next.

The wizard should now ask what you would like to name this new connection. Type in Interwrx and click Next.

The next few screens will be for setting up your email with Interwrx.com. Select Yes and click Next.

If Internet mail has never been setup on this computer then select "Create a new Internet mail account" and click Next. Otherwise, if your computer has been setup for mail with Interwrx, then select "Use an existing Internet mail account", highlight the account in the window below, and click Next.

You will now need to type in your Name as you would like it to appear when sending E-mail. This is not case sensative and can be anything you would like it to be (i.e., your full name, first name or last name only, or username). Click Next.

Now you will need to type in your email address, typically (but not always) this will be your dialup / username followed by @interwrx.com. After typing in your email address click Next.

You will now be asked what type of mail account you have and for the mail servers. Select POP3 from the pull down menu and type in mail.interwrx.com as the incoming (POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) mail servers. Click Next.

Type in your account username (DO NOT type in @interwrx.com) and password. If you do not want your computer to remember the password then do not type it in. Click Next.
NOTE: DO NOT check Secure Password Authenication (SPA) as this is NOT supported.

To complete the setup press the finish button and you are done!
